Governing Board

Elected by the General Assembly , dura in carica tre anni; it stays in office for three years; is composed by 11 councilors, including the President (Legal Rapresentative ) of Association.

Antonio Colangelo

PRESIDENT

Expert in Territorial Information Systems, he is founder and director of the Geocart SpA group, he is also President of the TeRN Consortium (the Basilicata Technological District on Earth Observation and Natural Risks) and, since 14 December 2021, President of the AIAD SME Steering Committee. Councilor of Bank of Italy, he has also different activities of government cooperation and institutional building, in various international projects.

Vito Gaudiano

VICEPRESIDENT

CEO & Founding Partner of OPENET TECHNOLOGIES which operates in the satellite telecommunications sector, designing, implementing and managing advanced information / communication networks for public and private operators. A constant attention to research and continuous investments in technology make it one of the most dynamic Italian companies in Europe, able to provide advanced and innovative services in the processes of overcoming the digital divide. He is also General Mangaer of CONFAPI and CEO of IMPRESAMBIENTE; Director of Administra.it (first all-news thematic digital television channel dedicated to the world of PA and institutional communication of public bodies) and General Manager of BASENTECH, Science and Technology Park of Basilicata.

Aurelia Sole

VICEPRESIDENT

Full Professor in “Hydraulic and Maritime Constructions and Hydrology” at the University of Basilicata (UNIBAS). Rector of the University of Basilicata from 2014 to 2020. National Representative in the “Civil Security for Society” Configuration of the Horizon Europe Program Committee; Coordinator of the PhD in Engineering for Innovation and Sustainable Development, at the University of Basilicata. Pro – rector for equal Opportunity and Gender Issues at the UNIBAS: Head of the laboratory of Geographic Information Systems and hydraulic risk assessment models.

Umberto Brindisi

MANAGING DIRECTOR OF RELATIONS WITH THE BASILICATA REGION OFFICE AND LUCAN CLUSTERS - TREASURER

Electronic engineer in possession of MBA (Master in Business Administration) obtained at MIP – Business School of Polytechnic of Milan. Innovation Manager recognized by MISE (Ministry of Economic Development) he guides companies specialized in management consulting for companies, human resources development, technical assistance and information systems. He is President of the CREATEC (Consortium for Environment and Technological Innovation) – founded in 2006 – and made up of Basilicata SMEs specialized in Information Technology and Earth Observation.

Cosimo D’Ercole - COUNCILOR

He founded in 1980 the Software House Lucana Sistemi, bringing it in a few years to an exponential growth. The company is active in the ICT field, of which he is now President and CEO, has about 60 collaborators between Matera and Potenza. He is also Vice President of the Informatics, Innovative Services, and Technological section of Confindustria Basilicata, Informatics, Innovative Services and Technological section of Confindustria Basilicata, and also a member of the Board of Directors of Innova Consortium and Telematics Srl. He is involved in numerous Consortia and Technological Districts of the Basilicata region.

Salvatore Antonio De Biasio - COUNCILOR

Born in 1949, he is industrialist at CMD Spa for the construction of aeronautical endothermic engines. Former administrator of the Italian Aerospace Research Center, co – founder of the Cluster system in Basilicata, first President of the Basilicata Cluster of aerospace, vice President of Confindustria Basilicata with responsibility for Research, Innovation and Internationalization, activator of processes for the energy transition in European Industrial systems.

Luciana De Fino - COUNCILOR

Entrepreneur in the ICT sector and business developer. She is President of the Italian Drone Association. Founder of Air Drone s.r.l. She was Vice President of the National Territorial Coordination Committee of Confindustria technological and innovative services (CNCT), she is a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Montepruno.

Angelo Donvito - COUNCILOR

Graduated in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications, he is chief executive officer and President of Directors of Digimat Spa as well as responsible for organizational management. He has participated in countless national and international projects, enhancing his knowledge on methodologies based on international standards such as ECSS and Project Management roles, also on Euro Planning topics. He has conducted research activities in the fields of ICT and Earth Observation with reference to the processing of SAR (Synthetic Radar Aperture) data, cloud service in precision agriculture, Smart City and in the field of Cultural Heritage Protection and environmental monitoring services.

Carmela Cornacchia - COUNCILOR

Physicist and PhD. First Technologist at the National Research Council, she is currently in charge of the Research Territorial Area of Potenza. She has long experience in the design and management of industrial research projects and collaboration with companies in the Earth Observation sector. He has considerable experience in the management of international access programs to research infrastructures and holds the role of Unit Director (Service Access Management Unit) in the interim general management of ACTRIS, the European Research Infrastructure Aerosol, Cloud and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure.

Silvestro Lazzari - COUNCILOR

CEO of Cedat Europa Srl. Geologist, expert in territorial planning, former manager of the Basilicata Region and Research Director at CNR-GNDCI. He has collaborated with the London School of Economic and he is author of 50 scientific publications, as well as a member of important Italian scientific organizations, also in the field of Earth Observation from Space. He gained a large number of studies and investigations in the field of applied geology, environmental plant engineering, urban planning, civil protection and water management and protection, in national and international contexts, with highly specialized technologies.

Adriano Trupo - COUNCILOR

Born in Potenza on June 16, 1967. Founder and Sole Director of GHS Srl. Graduated in business administration, he has spent most of his professional career in ICT companies where he has held various operational roles and corporate positions. He is CEO of Cliniche della Basilicata s.r.l as well as special prosecutor of the GPI Group.
